About Mia

By seeking support, you’ve already taken a powerful first step toward healing. It takes courage to turn inward, confront present-day struggles, and open yourself up to change. Unresolved pain and trauma often manifest as feelings of being stuck, low self-worth, or negative thought patterns. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore how your past has shaped your present—and to develop healthier, more empowering ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

Mia Ray, AMFT, brings a warm, compassionate, and curious presence to her work, often infused with gentle humor and deep respect for each client’s journey. Trained in the Depth Psychology and Psychoanalytic tradition at Pacifica Graduate Institute, her clinical foundation supports a therapeutic process that is both insight-oriented and trauma-informed. Mia specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with chronic illness or chronic pain, and those navigating eating disorders and body image concerns.

Mia helps clients make meaningful connections between intergenerational or ancestral trauma and their current symptoms. Her integrative approach draws from a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and transpersonal/depth psychology, allowing her to meet the needs of the whole person—emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually—at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

She is passionate about helping individuals cultivate greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of agency in their lives.

Mia is currently accepting new clients for individual and couples therapy. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, offering both virtual and in-person sessions.

A healthier choice for a healthier you.
