About Grant Hagen
Grant Hagen is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #164920) providing personalized, evidence-based psychotherapy for adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University. Understanding that life moves fast and major changes often happen whether we feel ready or not, Grant helps clients navigate academic pressure, career burnout, shifting relationships, and difficult life transitions. His goal is to provide a grounded space where individuals and couples can slow down, process what they are experiencing, and regain a sense of clarity and stability about what comes next.
In his clinical practice, Grant brings extensive experience supporting teenagers and young adults through the dynamic challenges of identity development, family dynamics, and social pressures. He also works regularly with college students and adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), grief, trauma, and burnout. Furthermore, Grant provides dedicated couples counseling and family therapy to help partners repair strain, improve communication, and rebuild emotional connection. He maintains a special clinical focus in men’s mental health and men’s issues, offering a supportive, non-judgmental environment for men to process stress, emotional burdens, and life expectations openly.
Grant’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, offering empathy and unconditional positive regard so that every client feels genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Recognizing that every individual and couple requires tailored care, he seamlessly integrates evidence-based modalities into treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility and mindfulness, and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Above all, Grant aims to equip clients with deeper self-awareness and practical coping tools so they can navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
